Report something
Read this first. Rooms keep only the last 100 events, so whatever you saw is already being deleted and will be gone shortly whether or not anyone acts. There are no accounts here, and we keep no record of who anyone is. The connection records that could identify a sender are held by our host, not by us. For anything serious, the people below can act and we cannot.
Where to send it
If what you saw was criminal, or someone appears to be in danger, your local police or your country's reporting hotline is the place for it. They can investigate and we cannot, so send it to them directly rather than waiting on us. This site runs on Cloudflare, and Cloudflare holds the connection records that could identify a sender, so a request to trace one goes through Cloudflare's legal process rather than through us. The room name and the message times in the transcript below are what an investigator needs to ask for the right window.
A message here can only ever be text. If it linked to something hosted elsewhere, the site holding that material is the only party who can take it down.
If a room is being used for abuse right now, tell hello@remsky.art. That is the one case where we have a lever: rooms can be closed. Include the room name and the transcript below. It reaches one person who reads it when they can, so anything urgent belongs with the police above. For bugs and everything else, the GitHub issue tracker is the better place.
